For Autism Families

About Nadine

Nadine

My son Tommy was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2 (in 2007), and to begin with it felt like we had been given a prison sentence. Everything I heard, researched and people I spoke to kept confirming the fact that he would probably need my care for the rest of my life at least! I felt trapped, and although I love him dearly and happily devote my life to him, the feelings of confinement and the end of my own dreams were often too much to bear.

Our whole family have all been on an emotional journey and a steep learning curve and have found strength and courage we didn’t know we had. Like many of you, not a day goes by when I am not reminded of his challenges and also reminded of the gratitude I have for him being in my life.

Many things have helped along the journey so far, and the most profound turning point for us all was when we changed our own perception of what autism has brought into our lives.

Autism came into our family, and like for many other Autism families it is here to stay, and I am here to embrace it, learn from it and work with it (rather than against it) for the benefit of all our future well being.

I am now at a place where I can appreciate daily the personal growth I have gained, the lessons I am learning with each challenge and yes, the fact that I do actually love my life with autism in our family and now wouldn’t have it any other way.

I have been a professional coach for many years and have now devoted my life to guide and personally support other parents and carers living with autism in their family. My own journey from Tommy’s diagnosis in 2007 has been a roller coaster of incredible lows and exhilarating highs, and has tested me to my limits. I understand the task I have been given and the journey I am on, and a life which once felt like a jail sentence is now a life of immeasurable grace and gratitude for the daily blessings I receive.

My coaching is specifically to support other parents and carers on their journey too, and to help them to break free from any imprisonment to a place of pure joy living and loving their life with autism in the family. I am told that I have touched the lives of many families across the world and transformed family life in many households too.

If you think I could help you to live and love your life with a little more happiness then please book a private taster session with me.

  1. You are indeed a living angel, a beacon of light to those suffering immeasurable loss of dreams and hope. There isn’t a medal or trophy special enough, big enough, or famous enough to reflect the kind of hope and peace you bring. I am in complete and utter awe and gratitude.
